Responsibilities and Essential Functions
· Perform diagnostics and repair on medium and heavy-duty diesel engines.
· Utilizing electronic diagnostic tools and computer software to assist in the troubleshooting and repair of heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems.
· Perform repairs on the various components which may include transmission, suspension, and other systems.
· Perform regular maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks.
· Coordinate parts orders with the parts department.
· Complete online training courses.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience
· 5+ years of previous heavy-duty mechanical experience minimum.
· Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks.
· Ability to work independently or in a team.
· Ability to make decisions promptly.
· Ability to read a wiring diagram.
· Mastery of English speaking and writing skills required.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
· Desire for a long-term career with a growing shop.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Excellent reading and writing skills
- Ability to speak and understand English
